An Azure service for ingesting, preparing, and transforming data at scale.
Hi @Azure Demo
Please follow the below procedure will helpful to fix your issue. first make sure selfhosted integration runtime installed.
Step 1: Fulfill the Prerequisites
Before configuring anything in the Azure portal, you must prepare the environment hosting your SAP HANA landscape:
- Set up a Self-hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR): Install the SHIR on an on-premise machine or an Azure Virtual Machine that resides in the same virtual network as your SAP HANA instance.
- Install the SAP HANA ODBC Driver: Download the 64-bit SAP HANA Client for Windows from the official SAP Software Download Center. Install this driver on the exact same machine where your SHIR is running.
Step 2: Create the SAP HANA Linked Service
Once your infrastructure is ready, configure the service in the Azure Data Factory Studio:
- Open your Azure Data Factory Studio.
- Navigate to the Manage tab (the wrench icon) on the left sidebar.
- Select Linked services under the Connections menu, then click + New.
- In the search box, type SAP and choose the SAP HANA connector from the grid. Click Continue.
- Configure the following required connection properties: • Name: Give your linked service a recognizable name (e.g., LS_SAPHANA_Source). • Connect via integration runtime: Select the Self-hosted Integration Runtime you configured in Step 1. Do not use the AutoResolveIntegrationRuntime. • Connection String: Provide the necessary details to map your server.
• Authentication Type: Select Basic or Windows authentication depending on your setup. • Password: It is highly recommended to store your database password securely inside an Azure Key Vault and pull it dynamically rather than hardcoding it in the connection string.• Format: Server=<server>:<port>;UID=<username>;PWD=<password>; • Note: The default port is usually 30015 (or 3XX15 where XX represents your SAP instance number). - Click Test connection. If it succeeds, click Create to save your new Linked Service.
Thanks.
