Every time I load up Minecraft Bedrock Edition, the game keeps crashing, like the game will pop out, but when it gets in and starts loading, it stops at 51%. How do I fix it?

    Welcome Angel Garcia,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand Minecraft Bedrock Edition is crashing consistently at 51% during the loading process on your Windows 11 PC.

Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps. In addition, please try the following.

    Before proceeding, could you clarify:

    • Does the crash happen only with Bedrock Edition, or does Minecraft Java Edition work normally on the same PC?
    • Did the issue start after a recent Minecraft update, Windows update, or graphics driver update?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

Step 1: Test with a new Minecraft data folder

    • Press Win + R and enter %LocalAppData%\Packages
    • Locate the Minecraft Bedrock package folder
    • Rename the LocalState folder to LocalState.old
    • Launch Minecraft again

Step 2: Check for corrupted system files

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator
    • Run:
      • sfc`` ``/scannow
      • DISM`` ``/Online`` ``/Cleanup-Image`` ``/RestoreHealth
    • Restart the PC after both commands complete

Step 3: Disable overlays and background gaming utilities

    • Temporarily disable Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience Overlay, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, or similar applications
    • Try launching Minecraft again

Step 4: Create and test a new Windows user account

    • Create a temporary local Windows account
    • Sign in to that account
    • Install and launch Minecraft Bedrock
    • This helps determine whether the issue is caused by a corrupted user profile

    Looking forward to your update.

Try these fixes in order for Minecraft Bedrock on Windows when it crashes during loading:

    1. Reset the Microsoft Store cache.
      • Press Win + R
      • Run wsreset.exe
      • Wait for the Microsoft Store to reopen
    2. Repair or reset Minecraft Launcher.
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
      • Select Minecraft Launcher
      • Open Advanced options
      • Click Repair
      • If it still fails, click Reset
    3. Reinstall Xbox Gaming Services.
      • A missing or broken gaming component can prevent Bedrock from launching correctly.
      • Open PowerShell as Administrator and reinstall Gaming Services from Microsoft Store, then restart Windows.
    4. Run Minecraft Bedrock as administrator.
      • Right-click the Minecraft Bedrock Edition shortcut or executable
      • Select Run as administrator
    5. Update or roll back the GPU driver.
      • Several reported Bedrock crash cases were resolved by changing GPU drivers.
      • If the issue started after a recent driver update, try downgrading to an earlier stable version.
      • If the driver is old, install the latest clean driver from the GPU vendor.
    6. Sign out and sign back in to Store and Xbox apps.
      • Open the Xbox app and sign out
      • Open Microsoft Store, select the profile icon, and sign out
      • Restart the PC
      • Sign back in with the same Microsoft account in Microsoft Store, Xbox app, and Minecraft Launcher

If the crash still happens at 51% after these steps, the strongest pattern in the available cases is a GPU driver issue, especially when Java Edition works but Bedrock crashes.
