Microsoft for Startups verification failed — Preview provides no Program Support or manual review option

I am requesting assistance reaching Microsoft for Startups Program Support for a manual startup-verification review.

I applied to Microsoft for Startups for Municipal Centre, a Canadian civic technology startup. My account received the initial $200 Azure credit, but startup verification subsequently returned “We couldn't verify your startup” without providing a reason.

I am using the new “Build your startup” Preview experience in the Azure portal. My dashboard does not contain “Your Microsoft Team” or “Get program support,” so I have no visible way to contact Microsoft for Startups Program Support.

I also attempted to use Azure Help + Support → Subscription management. There is no Microsoft for Startups verification category. I tried Benefits/Offers and other applicable categories, but the support wizard repeatedly redirects me to unrelated automated Solutions articles and does not allow me to submit the verification issue to a support representative.

Municipal Centre is an active Canadian civic technology startup with a registered corporation, company domain and email, LinkedIn company presence, functioning software products, and an active Azure development environment. Our software is already successfully authenticating with Microsoft Azure while we develop automated Canadian cloud deployment.

I can privately provide corporate registration documents, proof of domain ownership, product screenshots, LinkedIn information, or any other documentation required for verification.

Could a Microsoft moderator please escalate this to Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Business Verification for a manual review, or provide the correct human support channel for users in the new Preview experience?

I will not post subscription IDs, tenant IDs, corporate documents, or other sensitive account information publicly.

Thank you, but unfortunately this does not resolve the issue.

I am using the current Microsoft for Startups “Build your startup” Preview experience. There is no “Your Microsoft Team” section and no “Get program support” option anywhere on my Overview page.

I have also attempted the Azure Portal → Help + support → Create a support request route. Because this is a Microsoft for Startups verification issue rather than an Azure technical issue, there is no appropriate verification category. Selecting Benefits/Offers or other suggested categories repeatedly redirects me to automated Solutions/help articles and does not allow me to submit the startup verification issue to a support representative.

My startup verification specifically returned “We couldn't verify your startup” without providing a reason.

Therefore, the issue I need assistance with is precisely that the Program Support channel described in this answer is not available in my Microsoft for Startups Preview account.

Could a Microsoft moderator or Microsoft for Startups representative please manually escalate this case to Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Business Verification, or provide a direct support method that works for the new Preview experience?

I can provide the verification team privately with corporate registration, domain ownership, LinkedIn company information, product screenshots and any other documentation required. I do not want to post account identifiers or corporate documentation publicly.

For Microsoft for Startups verification and other program-specific issues, the correct channel is Microsoft for Startups Program Support, not standard Azure technical support.

For the current Azure portal experience used by startups that joined after May 29, 2026:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. Open the startup homepage.
    3. In Overview, look for Your Microsoft Team.
    4. Select Get program support.

If the issue is specifically an Azure technical or subscription issue, the Azure portal path is:

    1. Select the ? icon in the top-right corner.
    2. Select Help + support.
    3. Select Create a support request.
    4. Complete the form and attach screenshots or relevant documents.

Microsoft for Startups Program Support handles:

    • program onboarding
    • Azure credit activation
    • benefit redemption
    • billing profile issues
    • entitlement corrections
    • portal access problems

If startup verification failed and a manual review is needed, that falls under program-specific support rather than Azure product outage or production debugging.

For startups using the older Microsoft for Startups Portal experience, support requests are submitted here: https://portal.startups.microsoft.com/login, then select the ? icon and Submit a Support Ticket.
