Incoming email are being sent into this new Conversation History folder. I do not want this folder. I want new emails to drop into the Inbox or Junk Email folder as they have in the past.

I am not involved with Teams or Skype.

Also, suddenly all my deleted emails from the past 2 months reappeared overnight.

    Hi @A F BARR

Since the Mail category is not available under Settings, could you please confirm what type of account is configured in New Outlook, such as Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, or a work or school account?

Please also sign in to the account through its webmail page and check whether new messages are being moved to Conversation History there as well. If the same behavior appears in webmail, it is likely associated with the mailbox or email provider. If webmail shows the messages correctly in the Inbox, the issue may be limited to the New Outlook app.

Regarding the deleted messages, please confirm whether they returned to the Inbox, remained in Deleted Items, or returned to their original folders. This will help distinguish between a synchronization issue and messages being restored or moved.

For now, please do not delete the Conversation History folder, as it may be a default mailbox folder.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
