I keep getting this message "This build of Windows will expire soon" and I have no idea how to resolve this issue. I have looked up my pc's windows version and expires 8/11/2026. I have used windows update and it says "up to date" what should I do now?

My PC info: Microsoft Windows Version Dev (OS Build 29595.1000) Evaluation copy expires 8/11/26

How can I resolve this issue??

Hi,

You are not up to date.

That build should be up to 29671.

Please check your Windows Insider

Program setting as to what Insider

Channel you are in. You should be

in the Future Channel to see updates.

    Hi,

Please delete this Registry Key and

then check the Insider Settings page again.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHot

Restart and check again, you want to be

on Future Channel to get updates.

You can also go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso

and get the ISO for build 29671 and do an in place update.

My insider settings are greyed out and I can't tell what channel I am on but when I use win key + R it says version Dev so I think the Dev channel. If I am supposed to be moved to a different channel, I was not aware of this and how can I update my pc to the correct build version?
