Hi,
The latest Microsoft release information I can verify still lists Schedule desktop flows directly with a Public preview target of August 2026 and no General Availability date. However, that target has now passed, and the feature page was last updated on August 27, 2026. Microsoft has not published a newer availability date that I can verify.
Microsoft also states that release-plan timelines can change and that planned functionality may not be released as originally scheduled.
In the meantime, the current supported options include:
- Use a cloud flow with a schedule trigger to run the desktop flow. Microsoft documents this here: Trigger desktop flows from cloud flows.
- Use Windows Task Scheduler with a Power Automate desktop flow run URL. Microsoft documents this here: Run desktop flows via URL or desktop shortcuts. The article includes steps specifically for triggering flows automatically with Task Scheduler.
