How to fix error 0x0 word

I am using a mac book air which I have just updated and am still having trouble with editing my word documents. A yellow bar comes up at the top and when I click activate and enter my email address, it says error 0x0.

Please may you help with this.

    Which version of macOS do you have? Note that you need macOS 12 or later to run Microsoft Office. Also, you need an Office product which licenses version 16.83 or later (this excludes Office 2019).
