The 365 was used by me, used as a teacher, but I just retired. I no longer need the site and want a refund of the $105.99 you charged my account. Please help me with this, as I can't seem to get the account cancelled. It has not registered the payment on my site so please help me cancel this. I can't afford it and really don't need it anymore. It was great when I was teaching college student nurses butt now, I don't need the tools offered by 365. Please advise.

    Hi Sondra,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Since the subscription and payment are not appearing in your Microsoft 365 admin center, you may be signed in with a different account or tenant than the one associated with the charge. Another possibility is that the subscription was purchased through a reseller or another provider. In these situations, the subscription cannot be cancelled from the account currently displayed.

I do not have access to billing accounts or the ability to cancel subscriptions and issue refunds through this community. Please contact the Microsoft 365 billing team so they can locate the charge, confirm whether it qualifies for a refund, and help you cancel the correct subscription.

If you purchased the subscription through a school, reseller, or another provider, you may need to contact that provider directly because Microsoft cannot cancel a subscription purchased through a third party. Cancellation options also depend on the subscription’s billing agreement, account permissions, and purchase method.

For guidance on how to request support in the admin center, please refer to: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.

I hope everything gets sorted out soon. Please keep me posted on any updates.

    1. Go to your Microsoft account subscriptions page and sign in with the account that was used to purchase Microsoft 365.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription.
    3. Select Manage and then Cancel subscription (or Upgrade or Cancel).
    4. Follow the prompts to complete the cancellation. Microsoft will then determine whether the subscription is eligible for a refund. Microsoft states that not all cancellations result in a refund, but cancellation is the first step in checking eligibility.

    If:

    • You cannot access the account,
    • The payment was charged but is not appearing on the subscription page,
    • Or you cannot complete the cancellation,

then you will need to contact Microsoft Billing Support directly and request assistance with the cancellation and refund review. This is especially important if the charge of $105.99 has been taken but is not showing on the account.

    Before contacting support, have ready:

    • The email address you may have used for Microsoft 365.
    • The last 4 digits of the card charged.
    • The charge date.
    • The amount charged ($105.99).
