We have created a Microsoft form in our church onmicrosoft account SharePoint site.
We have set the global SharePoint policies sharing menu option to Anyone see below.
We have ticked all the access permission in Forms Settings in the admin centre.
However in the Forms settings there is not a tick box for share to anyone which there is in my work version of forms see below.
If we share the link to the forms list to a non user of the SharePoint site they are able to access the list.
However if we share the link to the form the link takes the none user to a login page requiring the non user to login with a user name to the Microsoft SharePoint site meaning only registered uses can see the form. This seems the wrong way round as why would you want anyone to access the list of form entries but not the form?
Can anyone help ?

Good day Gareth,
Thank you for providing the screenshots and details.
Based on the interface shown in your screenshot, the form was created from a SharePoint List rather than as a standalone Microsoft Form.
Forms created from a SharePoint List follow the permissions of the underlying SharePoint site and list. As a result, external users must sign in and have access to the list before they can open the form. This is why the Anyone can respond option isn't available and why external users are redirected to a sign in page.
The Anyone setting in SharePoint controls sharing for SharePoint content such as files, folders and lists. The Microsoft Forms sharing settings apply only to standalone Microsoft Forms and don't make a SharePoint List form publicly accessible.
Here are some options you may consider:
Option 1: Create a standalone Microsoft Form (Recommended)
If you want people outside your organization to submit responses without signing in:
Go to Microsoft Form.
Create a new Microsoft Form and recreate the questions from the current form.
Select Collect responses > Choose Anyone can respond > Share the response link with external users.
If you would like to receive an email whenever someone submits a response:
Open the form > Select Settings > Under Response receipts, enable Get email notification of each response.
Option 2: Save responses to the existing SharePoint List
If you want responses stored in the current SharePoint List:
Create the standalone Microsoft Form.
Open Power Automate.
Create an automated flow using:
When a new response is submitted (Microsoft Forms)
Get response details (Microsoft Forms)
Create item (SharePoint)
Map each form answer to the corresponding SharePoint List column.
Save and test the flow.
This allows external users to submit responses without signing in while keeping the SharePoint List accessible only to authorized users.
Example:
Note: If you'd like to use this option, please let me know. I'd be happy to provide more detailed guidance.
Option 3: Keep the current SharePoint List form
If you continue using the existing form in SharePoint, external users must be granted access to the SharePoint site or list and will need to authenticate before they can submit responses. Anonymous public access isn't supported for SharePoint List forms.
Additionally, since the current sharing link provides access to the list content, please review the sharing permissions and remove any links that grant broader access than intended by opening the SharePoint List > Selecting Share > Manage access > Deleting any unnecessary sharing links.
If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
