Locked invoice — portal says Contact Azure Support but support request cannot be created — OneDrive inaccessible

My Microsoft Customer Agreement billing profile is disabled and an outstanding invoice is locked. The invoice says “Contact Azure Support to pay this invoice.”

There is no Pay Now option, and Azure Help + Support does not allow me to create a billing support request; it only returns AI/self-help suggestions.

The associated Microsoft 365 / SharePoint / OneDrive service is now inaccessible.

I want to pay the outstanding invoice immediately. Could a Microsoft moderator please escalate this to the Azure Billing team and have the invoice unlocked/manual payment enabled, and confirm restoration of the existing tenant and OneDrive data?

I added a support ticket here, 4 days later, NOTHING. All of my onedrive files are gone and this is marked as a C level priority which is infuriating. No prior emails to this happening so its a huge inconvenience. Please escalate.

Thank you, this is ONE OF THE WORST support experiences. Congratulations.

Obscure "Return to support request" in order to continue - truly mind bending.

    Hi @Michael Condillac

I understand that your Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) billing profile is currently disabled and that you have an outstanding invoice displaying "Contact Azure Support to pay this invoice.” Since there is no Pay Now option, this invoice likely requires assistance from the Azure Billing team rather than a normal self-service payment.

Please follow the steps below to create a Billing Support Request and bypass the self-help loop:

Azure Billing support request: create a support request

    1. From the resource menu, under Help, select Support + Troubleshooting.
    2. In the Support + Troubleshooting pane, type Billing in the search box, select Billing, and then click Next.

    3. You may be presented with suggested solutions. Scroll down to Contact Support > Create a support request.
      User's image
    4. Enter the problem details. You can select options similar to:
      • Issue type: Billing
      • Summary: Billing
      • Problem type: Assistance with Bill
      • Problem subtype: Help with a billing discrepancy
        User's image
    5. If the portal displays Recommended Solutions or troubleshooting articles again, do not select them. Instead, look for Return to support request and click it.
      User's image
    6. Click Next to proceed to Additional Details. In the description, include your Billing Profile ID and Invoice Number
    7. Complete the Review + Create step and submit the support request.

Please note that Microsoft Q&A is primarily a user-to-user support forum, forum members cannot access your billing account, unlock the invoice, process the payment, or create/escalate a billing support ticket on your behalf. You will need to create the billing support request from your side using the steps above so that the appropriate Azure Billing team can securely review your account and assist with the outstanding invoice.

    I hope this helps.
