If you want to stop your monthly Microsoft 365 subscription and return to the free 5 GB OneDrive storage, you do not need to switch to a separate free plan. You only need to cancel the Microsoft 365 subscription or turn off recurring billing. Once the paid subscription expires, your cloud storage allowance will return to the free tier.

If you purchased Microsoft 365 directly from Microsoft:

1. Sign in to Services & subscriptions using the Microsoft account that was used to purchase Microsoft 365. https://account.microsoft.com/services
2. Locate your Microsoft 365 subscription and select Manage, Cancel subscription, or the available option to turn off recurring billing.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the cancellation.

Microsoft subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store are managed through the store where the subscription was purchased.
