Bluetooth audio output latency after connecting a Bluetooth speaker to my Windows 11.

I have also seen bluetooth issues and MSFT is aware as is Intel. Hopefully this gets fixed fast.

I am aware of issues with Dolby AC-3 as found with DVD/BD films but Intel has updated their Bluetooth software several times

Since Intel has already updated the Bluetooth software several times, I wouldn’t want to assume another driver update alone will fix the delay. The useful thing to check now is whether the lag also happens with regular audio, such as a browser video or music or whether you mainly notice it with DVD/Blu-ray playback and Dolby AC-3 content.

That difference could help narrow down what’s actually causing the delay.

I use Avid and I tested a video using AC-3 and it is still an issue

Thanks for testing that. That’s helpful, especially since you were able to reproduce the same delay with an AC-3 video in Avid.

That suggests the issue isn’t limited to DVD or Blu-ray playback. One thing that would help narrow it down further is whether you also notice the delay with regular non-AC-3 audio, such as a YouTube video or music played through the same Bluetooth device.

If regular audio stays in sync but AC-3 consistently has the delay, that would give us a much clearer direction to focus on.

Hi Winmor Tang,

I understand your Bluetooth speaker connects to Windows 11, but the audio is delayed.

Does this happen in every app, and does the speaker work normally with another phone or computer? Please also share the speaker model, PC model, and Windows build shown by winver. It would help to know whether the built-in speakers or wired headphones have the same delay.

For now, remove and pair the speaker again under Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices. Then check its sound properties and select 2 channels, 16-bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality) if that option is available. If the delay remains, run the Bluetooth troubleshooter in Get Help and install the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer.

Let me know the results and I’ll help narrow down the next step.
