Hi Kirk Green,
Since you’d prefer to speak with a support representative, you can try contacting live Surface support directly.
To contact a live Surface support agent:
- Go to Contact Microsoft Support and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Type Live Support and select Get help.
- Scroll down and choose Contact support.
- Under Products and services, select Surface.
- Choose your Surface model and select Confirm.
- Select the support option available to you, such as chat, a callback or a repair request.
Please note that the available contact options can vary.
Just a small note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and community contributors can help with troubleshooting, but we don’t have access to your device, account or support systems and can’t arrange a callback directly.
If you’d like to continue troubleshooting here, please share your Surface model, the Windows version and build shown by winver the KB number or name of the update and the exact error code or message you’re getting. A screenshot of the error would also help, as long as any personal information is removed first.
I’ll be happy to take a closer look from there without having you repeat the steps you’ve already tried.
