Geachte Microsoft Support,

    Hi Brechtje,

For this scenario, I would distinguish between Edge Read Aloud via edge-tts and Azure Speech.

Microsoft does not currently publish documentation that explicitly grants commercial redistribution rights for audio generated through Edge Read Aloud or edge-tts. So there is no clear public confirmation that you can sell those generated audio files to customers.

For commercial use, the supported option is Azure AI Speech Text to Speech. Microsoft documents commercial use of Azure Speech TTS output, subject to the applicable Azure terms and usage restrictions.

    So:

edge-tts commercial use: Not explicitly confirmed by Microsoft.

Selling generated audio: Not explicitly licensed/confirmed for Edge Read Aloud.

Attribution/licensing: No specific commercial redistribution terms are published for Edge Read Aloud.

Azure Speech required: Not required for edge-tts, but Azure Speech is the appropriate Microsoft service for a commercial application.

Also make sure you have the rights to the underlying text/content being converted to audio.
