Additional calendar-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Good day Technical,
Thank you for sharing the detailed test results.
Just to gently clarify before going any further, this forum is separate from Microsoft Support. I don’t have the ability to access or investigate individual accounts because this is a user‑to‑user support forum.
Based on your testing, Microsoft Bookings is currently using Pacific Standard Time, so a January 2027 appointment is being interpreted as UTC-8, which is why a 10:00 AM appointment is returned as 18:00 UTC.
Currently, Microsoft hasn't published Bookings specific guidance confirming when the new British Columbia and Alberta time zones will be available in Microsoft Bookings, when they will appear in the Booking Page time zone list, how customer time zone detection will identify these regions, or how existing appointments will be handled.
To prepare for the change, please follow these steps:
1/ When the new regional time zone becomes available, update the time zone in Outlook on the web > Settings > Time zone, then update the matching time zone in Microsoft Bookings > Booking page > Region and time zone settings and verify appointment times before accepting bookings for dates after the regional change.
2/ If the new regional time zone isn't yet available in Bookings, enable Always show time slots in business time zone, clearly communicate the displayed time zone to customers and limit the booking window to dates that have already been validated.
3/ Continue using the UTC start and end values returned by Microsoft Graph as the authoritative appointment time in your integration, and avoid implementing any manual one hour adjustment.
Once the new time zone becomes available, please test appointments created from the Bookings page, Bookings staff scheduling, Outlook and Microsoft Graph, then verify the results in Outlook on the web, Outlook desktop, Outlook mobile and Microsoft Teams.
For official confirmation regarding deployment timing, customer time zone detection, supported configuration and appointment migration behavior, I recommend that the organization's IT administrator submit a support ticket directly to Microsoft Support through the Microsoft 365 admin center > Support > Help & Support and including a sample appointment, the related Graph response and the expected local to UTC time conversion. The support team can review the current behavior, confirm the supported configuration, and provide product guidance or escalation if needed.
In the meantime, the recommended approach is to continue using UTC as the source of truth, avoid hardcoded time adjustments and validate all booking scenarios after the new regional time zones become available.
If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
