An Azure service that is used for adding real-time communications to web applications.
hi Eric Johnson & thx for sharing urs issue here at Q&A portal,
there isn’t enough detail here to identify the cause. 'WebSocket connection failed' can come from the client, proxy, App Service, SignalR configuration, auth, or network path. Please share the full browser console error, HTTP status code, SignalR SDK/server versions, connection URL, and whether u use Default, Serverless, or Classic mode. Also confirm whether the failure happens for all users or only behind a specific proxy/VPN. A quick check is to open the browser Network tab and inspect the negotiate request and WebSocket upgrade. A 401/403 usually means auth or allowed origins, 404 often means a wrong hub/endpoint path, and 502/504 points more toward a proxy or backend issue.

Without the actual error, anything more specific would just be guessing with extra confidence.
