Use these steps to bring back a missing taskbar in Windows 10:
- Check if the taskbar is set to auto-hide
- Move the mouse to the very bottom edge of the screen and wait a moment.
- If the taskbar appears, it is set to auto-hide.
- To turn this off: select Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.
- Under Taskbar behaviors, clear or turn off Automatically hide the taskbar.
- Make sure taskbar items are visible
- Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.
- Under Taskbar items, System tray icons, and Other system tray icons, turn on the toggles for the icons that should appear.
- Check taskbar alignment and position
- In Settings > Personalization > Taskbar, expand Taskbar behaviors.
- Ensure Taskbar alignment is set as desired and that the taskbar is not hidden on another display if using multiple monitors.
If the taskbar still does not appear after these checks, restart the device to reload the Windows shell and taskbar.
