    The Repair Now option often fails, as you may have noticed already.

    Instead, exit all Office apps and run an Online Repair; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b .

    Don't bother with Repair Now, which just runs a Quick Repair, which rarely helps. Instead, perform a full online repair following the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b

    Since this repair often includes a reinstallation of Office, make sure you have the install media required or a license registered in your Microsoft account.
