So, Microsoft says Windows Server 2025 has the Desktop Experience option right there in the same package as the Core version. Cool, right? When you're setting things up, the wizard will ask if you want:
- Server Core (just the basics, command line only)
- Server with Desktop Experience (the whole shebang with a GUI)
No need to hunt down a separate download for the GUI version since it is already included. Just pick what you want when installing. Oh, and just so you know, you can't switch between Core and Desktop Experience once it's installed. If you change your mind, you'll have to start over with a fresh install.
