When attempting to install the latest CU from Microsoft, I receive the following error upon installation: "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800f0982)"

I have ran sfc /scannow, dism and have removed unnecessary language packs and there isn't any corruption found, but updates won't install. Please assist.

    Dear Sikich Admin,

The error code 0x800f0982 is commonly linked to residual language pack configurations or incomplete update components. Since you've already removed unnecessary language packs, we recommend resetting the Windows Update components manually and renaming the SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 folders to clear any cached data. Additionally, ensure the Windows Modules Installer service is running and try installing the update again.

If the issue persists, you may also consider manually downloading and installing the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
