Closing Apps in the middle of typing.

I am sure it has to do with me swiping while in the keyboard.

THERE Has to be a way to turn it off or sensitivity down.

Be it Facebook or Yahoo Mail, etc.. in the middle of typing it closes the app.. One of many annoyances so far..

I am TRYING to love this thing.. but its makes it hard.

I'm sorry to hear that this is causing an issue for you. I would recommend trying to change the touch sensitivity, which may help resolve this for you.

To change touch sensitivity open Settings > System > Gestures > System Navigation > Select the gear / settings icon > change the Back Sensitivity.

Hope this is helpful to the Duo engineers: the replicable problem is that if you are typing in portrait mode, where one screen is held above the other one and the onscreen keyboard is full-size on the bottom screen, if you try to use Swiftkey to swipe on the keyboard from right to left (such as any words that start with the letter "p", as in "produce" or "push") the Duo thinks you are pulling the pill button to close the app.  Argh!

The workaround for me has been to put the keyboard into "one-handed" mode so that it shifts a little to the left of the Duo screen.  Now when I swipe left from the letter "p" Duo doesn't try to close the app.

There should be some sensitivity adjustment that disables the pill button when the edge of the keyboard is located close to it...?

Little late.. I returned my Duo due to this and many other issues. That I heard MAY have been fixed with the latst firmware update. I may still buy a Duo again, but not until its much less that it is now.
