If Send Files appears in the Windows 11 Start menu’s mobile-device panel, connect the iPhone there and use it to transfer pictures from the PC.
Connect and send pictures
This method requires Windows 11, Phone Link version 1.25032.82.0, a Microsoft account, and Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) between the PC and iPhone.^1^
- Turn on Bluetooth on both the PC and iPhone, and keep them nearby.
- On the PC, open Start.
- In the mobile-device pane, select iPhone.
- Complete the on-screen pairing instructions and approve the matching Bluetooth prompts on both devices.
- After pairing, open Start again and select Send Files.
- Select the pictures on the PC and follow the prompts to send them to the iPhone.
If the mobile-device pane is hidden, open Settings → Personalization → Start, then enable Show mobile device in Start.^1^
This feature is being rolled out gradually, so it may not yet appear on every Windows 11 PC.
If “Send Files” is not available
Use OneDrive to make the PC pictures available on the iPhone:
- On the PC, open File Explorer.
- Copy the pictures, then open the OneDrive folder and paste them into a folder there. Copying retains the originals on the PC; moving removes them from their original folder.^2^
- Install or open the OneDrive app on the iPhone.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account.
- Open the folder containing the uploaded pictures. From there, the files can be viewed or shared using the iPhone’s available apps.^3^
A USB connection through the Windows Photos app is primarily documented for importing pictures from the iPhone to the PC, not sending PC pictures to the iPhone.^4^
