Images randomly stop displaying in Microsoft Sway after initially uploading successfully

I'm experiencing a recurring issue with images in Microsoft Sway. Images upload and display correctly initially, but after some time they stop loading and are replaced with the error:

"Sorry, it looks like we are having trouble showing this image."

The issue persists across different browsers. I have also tried removing and re-uploading the affected images several times, but the same problem keeps happening. This is an issue in edit mode, as well as play mode.

The images appear to be hosted through sway.cloud.microsoft.

How can I prevent images from becoming unavailable after uploading them? Is this a known issue with Sway?

    Hi Jeremy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, this issue occurs across multiple browsers.

To help you further, could you please perform the following checks:

    1. Please try creating a new test Sway and adding images to it to see whether the images display normally.
    2. Please try using a different Internet connection, such as mobile data, to check whether the issue persists.

Based on the test results and any additional information you provide, I can better assist you in identifying the cause of the issue.

I look forward to hearing from you.
