How download

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Apps page with the Microsoft account used to purchase Microsoft 365 Family, then select Install apps to download Word, Excel, and the other desktop applications.^1^

Download and install on Windows

1. Open Microsoft 365 Apps:
   https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps
2. Select Sign in and use the same personal Microsoft account associated with the paid subscription.
3. Select Install apps in the upper-right corner.
4. If a menu appears, select Microsoft 365 apps, then select Install.
5. Open the downloaded installer:
   • Microsoft Edge: select Run
   • Chrome: select Setup
   • Firefox: select Save File, then open the downloaded file
6. If Windows asks whether the app can make changes, select Yes.
7. Wait until “You’re all set! Office is installed now” appears, then select Close.^1^

Activate Word and Excel

1. Select Start and search for Word or Excel.
2. Open the application.
3. Accept the license agreement if prompted.
4. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used above. The subscription should then activate the installed applications.^1^

If the Install button is missing

Open Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the account used for the purchase. Locate Microsoft 365 Family and select Install.^2^

If the subscription is not listed:

• Try any other Microsoft account that may have been used when purchasing or redeeming Microsoft 365.
• If the purchase included a product key and this is the first installation, the key must first be redeemed and associated with a Microsoft account.^1^
• If another family member owns the subscription, they must share it with your personal Microsoft account.
