Learn profiles are self-managed. If you do not have access to the email account associated with your certification then you will not be able to renew.

Due to privacy rules in place, Microsoft support will not be able to tell you the email address you used.

To renew the certification, access to the correct Microsoft Learn profile is required.

    1. Use the Microsoft account recovery guidance for the sign-in account:
      • If the username was forgotten, use the Microsoft account username recovery guidance.
      • If the password was forgotten or stopped working, use the password reset or sign-in recovery guidance.
    2. Sign in to Microsoft Learn and check the correct profile:
      • Select the photo avatar.
      • Choose Profile.
      • Choose Certifications.
      • Look for the blue Renew button.
    3. If multiple login accounts may have been used, try signing in with each possible personal Microsoft account or work/school account used when registering for the exam. Missing certifications are often caused by signing into the wrong Learn profile.
    4. If access to the personal Microsoft account used for the Learn profile is lost and no alternate work or school account was added, access to that Learn profile and its data is lost. Microsoft Credentials Support cannot recover the personal Microsoft account or restore/transfer the contents of an inaccessible Learn profile.
    5. If the certification still does not appear under the correct profile, contact Microsoft Credentials Support.

    Renewal facts:

    • Role-based and specialty certifications expire after one year.
    • Renewal is only available by passing the free online renewal assessment on Microsoft Learn.
    • The renewal assessment becomes available only within six months before expiration.
    • After passing, the expiration date updates immediately on the Learn profile.
