We are installing a Cisco Codec Pro G2 in our space, 2 HDMI outputs. When the device is logged out of teams both screens show something on the display, when logged into Teams Meeting Room UI one screen is always sending a black signal. Turning off/on dual display mode only changes if screen 2 is showing the QR code screen + Calendar vs the calendar only version as if it were dual screen. Screen 1 projects only black. The swap screen buttons does swap which side is sending the black screen shot image.

    Hi Zee,

Thank you for sharing the details of your situation and the current software versions.

Since both displays work while the device is signed out of Teams, and the black output moves when you use the Swap screens option, this does not appear to be a hardware failure with a specific monitor, HDMI cable, or HDMI port.

As an initial test, you can try the following:

    1. Join a Teams meeting with at least one remote participant.
    2. Ask the participant to enable their camera and share their screen.
    3. Check whether the black display begins showing participant video or shared content.
    4. Enable Dual Display Mode, save the setting, and restart the entire codec before testing again.
    5. If possible, configure both displays with the same landscape orientation, resolution, and refresh rate, preferably 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz.
    6. Swap the physical HDMI cables between Output 1 and Output 2 to confirm whether the behavior follows the Teams display assignment rather than a particular cable or port.

If the display remains black during an active meeting and while content is being shared, your IT administrator may need to review the display configuration in Cisco Control Hub and the Teams Rooms management portal.

At that point, I would also recommend collecting the Teams Rooms and Cisco diagnostic logs. Your IT administrator can then open a support case with Cisco Support or Microsoft Support and provide the logs, device model, software versions, and the results of the dual-display tests for further investigation.

I hope this information helps move the case forward. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.
