I am no longer receiving emails from Sam's Club

I am no longer receiving emails from Sam's Club. They are stating my email address is locked, but I am receiving all other emails just fine. I do not have them blocked and even added all of Sam's Club email addresses to the "Safe Sender" list. The agent said to contact my email provider to get a new email address, which doesn't make sense to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Almost all high volume mailers use a third party mailing service (ESP) and there are any number of things (not your fault) that will get you on their blocked list. This means the emails were probably never sent. This can happens when a single temporary glitch (like a full mailbox or a temporary server timeout) causes an email sent to you to "bounce". To protect their sender reputation, the ESP marks your address as invalid and blocks future delivery.

They should have a process in place to get your email off of their blocked list. But it sounds like you have already been down that road and they are not going to help.

All I can suggest is that you create a new outlook.com alias (a different email address but delivers to your existing account) and give them that one.

If all other mail is arriving, the Outlook.com account is not generally locked. For this scenario, the most likely causes are:

    1. The messages are being filtered into another location.
      • Check Junk Email and mark any Sam’s Club message as Not junk if found.
      • Check the Other tab.
      • Check message sorting: Filter > Sort > Date.
      • Check whether email forwarding is enabled.
      • Check for any rules that move, delete, or hide those messages.
    2. The sender is being treated differently than expected.
      • In Outlook.com, adding a sender to Safe senders and domains can help prevent messages from being moved to Junk.
      • Open Safe Senders settings, under Safe senders and domains select Add safe sender, enter the address or domain, then select OK and Save.
    3. The messages may be blocked before they ever reach the mailbox.
      • Safe Senders does not guarantee delivery in every case.
      • If the sender’s system has an authentication or sending-side issue, the sender must correct it. This matches cases where the sender reports a delivery problem even though the address is not blocked in Outlook.com.
    4. Storage should still be verified once.
      • If Microsoft cloud storage is full, Outlook.com cannot send or receive email, and messages sent during that period can bounce back to the sender.

    A practical path is:

    1. Check Junk Email, Other, forwarding, and rules.
    2. Confirm the Sam’s Club sending domain or addresses are in Safe senders and domains and saved.
    3. If nothing is found and other mail still works, ask Sam’s Club to review their sending system because the issue is likely on the sender side rather than requiring a new Outlook.com address.
