Using the New Outlook for Mac features in business environments
For New Outlook for Mac, the most relevant checks are the compose font settings and clearing any mixed formatting in the draft.
- In Outlook for Mac, open Outlook on the menu bar > Settings > Fonts.
- Check the Default composition font for both:
- New mail
- Reply or forward
- Set both to the same font, style, size, and color.
- If a message draft already has inconsistent formatting, select the affected text and use Clear Formatting in the ribbon to remove the mixed formatting.
If the issue is specifically that the message looks correct on the Mac while composing but changes size after sending to a different platform, that behavior can be by design. Outlook for Mac can display a different font size after sending because of pixel-to-point or point-to-pixel conversion between Mac and Windows operating systems.
If the default font keeps resetting back to Calibri after restarting Outlook for Mac, that was a known issue fixed in build 16.22. After updating, save the default font again.
