    Hello,

I will walk you through a few steps. Some of these are just to help figure out what is wrong, not to fix it right away. So if nothing changes after a step, that is normal. I will keep going until we solve it.

Can you attach the error message?

Please open the Windows Recovery Environment using the steps below:

    • Press and hold Shift, then click the Restart button on the lock screen to open recovery options. Click Advanced options>Troubleshoot.
    • If you can't reach the lock screen or start your computer, restart your PC twice when the boot screen appears. On the third time, Windows should open Windows Recovery automatically. Select Advanced options>Troubleshoot.

From there, select Uninstall updates>Uninstall the latest cumulative update.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

If website access started immediately after a Windows update, the supported causes in this context include security software interfering with access, a damaged Hosts file, damaged or missing Internet Explorer components used to render scripts, or update-related networking/browser issues.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Check whether security software is blocking access Personal firewall software, security tools, download assistants, or web accelerators can cause access failures, including Windows Update access errors.
    2. Reset the network stack Open Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset and select Reset now. Restart the PC after the reset.
    3. If websites still do not open, run these commands in an elevated Command Prompt Open Start, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator. Run these commands one at a time:
         netsh int ip reset
         netsh winsock reset
         ipconfig /release
         ipconfig /renew
         ipconfig /flushdns

Restart the PC and test website access again.
    4. Check for proxy or TLS setting issues Open Internet Options and review proxy/TLS settings. One supported troubleshooting path in the context is:
      • Turn proxy detection off or toggle Automatically detect settings in Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings
      • In Internet Options > Advanced, disable SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, and TLS 1.1
      • Enable TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 if available Restart and test again.
    5. Try browser cleanup and isolation Clear browser cache and cookies, disable VPN or proxy if one is in use, temporarily disable browser extensions, and test in another browser. This helps determine whether the issue is browser-specific or system-wide.
    6. Check for update-related browser issues Some Windows updates caused known browsing problems in Microsoft Edge, including failure to reach websites on non-standard ports and webpage loading failures after specific updates. Installing the later resolving update listed for the affected issue can fix that scenario.
    7. Install any newer Windows updates and restart Open Settings > Windows Update, select Check for updates, install available updates, and restart the device.

Also note: Windows Update service endpoints are not intended for normal browser access, so warnings or failures when directly browsing certain Windows Update endpoints can be expected and are not the same as general website access problems.
