So I pressed. Like I was trying to download WSA, and I manually did it. But now when it came to pressing the Files app and then turning on Developer Mode in that WSA, it's not showing me no IP address. So what do I do? What's the thing I missed? Why is it not letting me go forward? Like in order to get the Play Store.

    Welcome Huzaifah Amin,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

To better understand what is happening, could you confirm:

    • Are you using Windows 11 Home or Pro, and what is your Windows build number (Settings > System > About)?
    • When you open Windows Subsystem for Android™, do you see any error message when selecting “Files”, or does nothing happen?
    • Did you obtain WSA from Microsoft previously, or are you using a manually installed/community package?

One important point is that Microsoft ended support for Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) and the Amazon Appstore on March 5, 2025. Because of this, many guides that rely on WSA for installing Google Play Store are no longer supported by Microsoft. Microsoft's announcement can be found here: Apps from the Amazon Appstore.

As a quick check, please try the following:

    • Open “Turn Windows features on or off” and verify that “Virtual Machine Platform” is enabled.
    • Restart the PC after confirming the setting.
    • Open Windows Subsystem for Android™ again and check whether “Developer mode” can be enabled.
    • Let me know whether the “Files” button opens and whether an IP address appears afterward.

    Looking forward to your update.
