Some cells in my spreadsheet show rounded numbers but I am unable to undo this function. The cell is large enough to accept to accept the number function with 2 decimel places.

Hi , select the cells, press Ctrl + 1, then choose Number and set Decimal places to 2.

If that only adds .00, click one of those cells and let me know what number appears in the formula bar.

Rounded numbers in Excel are often only a display issue, not a calculation issue. Excel keeps the full stored value and uses that full value in calculations.

    Try these steps:

    1. Select the affected cell or range.
    2. Go to Home > Increase Decimal.
    3. Click it once for each extra decimal place to show.

    If many cells are affected:

    1. Select the cells.
    2. Go to Home > Number Format dropdown > More Number Formats.
    3. Choose a format such as Number, Currency, Accounting, Percentage, or Scientific.
    4. In Decimal places, enter how many places to display.
    5. Click OK.

If the value still looks rounded, the issue can also be the cell format being General. In that case, applying a number format with more decimal places can stop Excel from showing a shortened value.

If ######## appears after increasing decimals, widen the column by double-clicking the right border of the column header.
