Microphone allowed however says not detected when i want to access on apps

I have a link that I have to view and wanted to allow camera and microphone which i did, however it says it cannot detect the microphone

    Hi Fikile Sedibe,

    I’m following up to add a couple of checks that may help narrow this down.

    After restarting, does the microphone appear under Settings > System > Sound > Input and does the level bar move when you speak? Please also try a short recording in Voice Recorder.

    Could you also press Windows key + R, type winver and let me know the version and OS build shown? A screenshot is fine, but please make sure it doesn’t include any personal information.

    If recording works but the link still cannot detect the microphone, try opening it in an InPrivate or Incognito window. If the microphone is missing from the Input section, please share the computer’s make and model, but leave out the serial number and personal details.

    Just a quick note that Windows 10 reached the end of support on October 14, 2025. If your PC is eligible, it would be worth considering an upgrade to Windows 11 so it can continue receiving support and updates.

    Let me know what happens with the recording test and I’ll help you work out the next step.
