Microsoft Store itself is not supported for uninstall/reinstall as a standalone app. If it was removed, the only Microsoft-supported way to restore it is to reset or reinstall Windows.
Try these supported steps first:
- Reset the Microsoft Store cache:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type wsreset.exe
- Select OK
- A blank Command Prompt window should appear, then close after about 10 seconds, and Microsoft Store should open automatically.
- Search for Microsoft Store:
- In the taskbar search box, type Microsoft Store
- If it appears, open it and pin it again if needed.
- Check sign-in state:
- Make sure the device is signed in with a Microsoft account. The Store app may not be available on a local account.
- If Microsoft Store opens, reinstall apps from Library:
- Windows 10: Open Microsoft Store > More > My Library
- Select the app and choose Install
- If Microsoft Store is still missing or was actually removed:
- The supported recovery method is to reset or reinstall the operating system.
- Warning: reinstalling or resetting Windows can affect installed apps and settings.
If this happened on a work-managed device, an administrator may have disabled Microsoft Store.
