My original Microsoft account was created with an email I no longer use and the site no longer exists. I can't sign in to update my information. And all attempts to recover the original email account have been futile.

    Greetings!

This is Tin, sorry to hear that you can't sign in to your MS Account and your security information is outdated and you can't change it since you're unable to sign in. Regarding this, it would be best to answer the Account Recovery Form and under "Where should we contact you?" please make sure to enter an email address that you have access with since that will be your new security information once you've passed in the Account Recovery Form.

If the old email address is still the sign-in alias for the Microsoft account, access can usually be recovered by using the account recovery flow and then updating the sign-in information after access is restored.

    1. Start with Recover your account and enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used for the Microsoft account: Recover your account
    2. If the address is not recognized, first check the exact spelling and domain, such as .com versus .co.uk.
    3. If another alias or phone number was added to the account, use that instead to sign in or recover the account.
    4. If the account sign-in page says “We couldn't find an account with that username” or “That Microsoft account doesn't exist”, use the Sign-in Helper tool: Sign-in Helper
    5. If access is restored, go to Edit account info to add a current email address as an alias, then make it the primary sign-in alias if needed: Edit account info

    Important details:

    • Verification codes sent by email can only be sent to the primary alias or another email added as a sign-in verification method.
    • If the Microsoft account has not been signed in to for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.
    • Microsoft support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or directly change account details.

If the old address cannot be accessed and no other alias, phone, or verification method is available, the supported path is the recovery flow and Sign-in Helper. If those do not restore access, use Contact Support from the account support page.
