Connecting and synchronizing calendars across Microsoft Teams and other services like Outlook
Dear Jim,
As a forum moderator, I am not able to inspect your Outlook or Teams setup to see what is failing. My role here is limited to providing general guidance and solutions for users to implement themselves. Teams and Outlook connect in several different ways, so the right steps depend on what is actually missing. Could you please share a few more details?
- Are Teams meetings missing from the Outlook calendar?
- Is the Teams Meeting button missing when creating a meeting in Outlook?
- Are Outlook contacts or presence indicators not appearing correctly?
- Are you using classic Outlook, new Outlook, Outlook on the web, or Outlook for Mac?
- Are Outlook and Teams signed in with the same work or school account?
- Is this a Microsoft 365 business account, or a personal Outlook.com account?
- Do you see an error message?
For meeting integration, both applications should use the same Microsoft 365 work or school account. In new Outlook, Teams integration is built in. In classic Outlook for Windows, scheduling relies on the Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office.
As a quick test, completely close both applications, start Teams and sign in first, then open Outlook. If the issue continues, please share which synchronization feature is missing and your Outlook version.
Once you share these details, I will do my best to help you sort this out. Looking forward to your reply.
