    Dear Tanvi,

As a forum moderator, I am not able to access your virtual desktop session or endpoint device to diagnose this directly. My role here is limited to general guidance you can apply from your side. Microphone problems in a virtual desktop are usually down to media redirection rather than the microphone itself. To help narrow this down, could you please share a few more details?

    1. Which platform is this: Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Citrix, Omnissa, or plain RDP?
    2. Does the microphone work normally outside the virtual desktop session?
    3. Does it appear under Teams > Settings > Devices inside the session?
    4. Is this happening to you only, or to other users as well?

One quick thing to try: On your local Windows machine go to Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone, look for Microsoft Teams VDI, and make sure the toggle is on. Also check whether media is being offloaded correctly. If Teams cannot reach your physical device it shows Not optimized in the top right corner. Selecting that message gives you the option to restart Teams, and hovering over the banner shows an error code that your help desk can use.

    Looking forward to your reply.
