IP geolocation usually is not something that can be corrected on the PC itself. Many services determine location from the public IP address assigned by the internet provider, so it can show a nearby or even wrong city.
What can be changed on the computer is the Windows device location and the default location used by apps:
- Open Start > Settings > Privacy > Location.
- Turn on location for the device:
- If using an administrator account, select Change under Location for this device and turn it On.
- Turn Allow apps to access your location to On.
- Set the PC’s default location:
- Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Location.
- Under Default location, select Set default.
- In Maps, select the Las Vegas location or type the address, then select Save.
If Bing is showing the wrong city, the location can also be adjusted there:
- Search for something local on Bing.
- Select Change next to the detected location.
- Enter Las Vegas manually, or allow browser location access.
- To keep it for future searches, select Remember this location.
If Bing location permission was previously blocked in Edge or Chrome:
- Select the lock icon in the address bar.
- Open Site settings.
- Under Permissions, change Location to allow access.
Important: changing Windows or Bing location does not necessarily change the public IP geolocation seen by websites. Some services use the ISP-assigned IP location instead.
