This usually means the lock screen Widgets setting is turned off or unavailable for the widgets selected.
To check and restore them:
- Open Start > Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
- Under Widgets, review the widgets currently assigned to the lock screen.
- If available, turn Widgets to On.
- Use the more options button next to a widget to remove or customize it.
- Select Add widget to add supported widgets.
Important details:
- The order shown in Settings matches the order they appear on the lock screen.
- Only widgets that support a small size can be added to the lock screen.
- If a widget is grayed out, it may not be supported for the lock screen in its current form.
- Widgets on the lock screen can tailor content based on location estimation.
If the widgets are missing from the taskbar as well, check:
- Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
- Under Taskbar items, turn Widgets On.
- Press Windows key + W to open the Widgets board.
