Try this in order:
- Press Windows logo key + P and select Duplicate. If the TV is detected, this mirrors the laptop screen to the TV.
- Disconnect all accessories from the laptop, including docks, dongles, and adapters, then connect only the HDMI cable to rule out conflicts.
- Make sure the HDMI cable is firmly connected on both the laptop and TV.
- On the TV, switch the input source to the correct HDMI input.
- Try a different HDMI cable. If the new cable works, the original cable is faulty.
- Try the TV with a different system. This helps determine whether the issue is with the TV or the laptop.
- If the laptop has more than one video output port, try a different video output port.
- Reset the graphics driver by pressing Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B.
- Restart the laptop: Start > Power > Restart.
- If the problem started after an update, roll back the display driver:
- Search for Device Manager
- Open Display adapters
- Right-click the display adapter > Properties > Driver tab > Roll Back Driver
- If rollback is not available, reinstall the display driver:
- Open Device Manager
- Expand Display adapters
- Right-click the display adapter > Uninstall device
- Select Attempt to remove the driver for this device > Uninstall
- Restart if prompted
- Open Device Manager again
- Right-click the display adapter > Update driver
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software
- Make sure Windows is up to date in Settings > Windows Update.
