Hi John Giles,
Thanks for providing the details. Since the same Microsoft account works correctly on your other devices, this appears to be isolated to the affected PC rather than the account itself. Based on what you've already checked, it may be worth verifying whether Windows can obtain location information correctly on that specific device.
You can try the following checks:
1, Test location detection
- Open Maps and select Current Location.
- If Maps cannot determine your location, the issue may be with Windows location services rather than Find my device.
2, Reset Location settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location.
- Turn Location services Off, restart the PC, then turn it back On.
- Also verify that Find my device remains enabled.
3, Check device registration
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and confirm the device appears under your account's device list.
- If the device is listed, remove it and add it again by signing out and back into your Microsoft account on the PC.
Since the affected device is running Windows 11 build 26200.9550, compare its configuration with one of the devices where Find my device works correctly and ensure both are on similar update levels.
If the issue persists after these checks, please let us know whether location works in other apps such as Maps or Weather, and whether any error messages appear in Event Viewer related to the Geolocation Service. That information may help narrow down the cause.
