Minecraft Bedrock Edition PC mouse sensitivity broken

Platform: Windows 11 (64-bit) Game Version: Bedrock Edition 26.50 Hardware Specifications: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super, 2560x1440 (240hz) Monitor

Issue Summary: Ever since recent engine rewrites, the mouse sensitivity/camera tracking on the PC Bedrock client feels unusable. The cursor input behaves as if forced mouse acceleration is on.

Moving the mouse quickly causes the camera motion to kind of fly. When I used to move my mouse it felt like it was really going where I wanted it to. Now when I am moving my mouse fast (especially downwards when placing blocks) it feels like its going too far or where I didn't intend for it to go. Micro adjustments feel heavy compared to moving quickly feels accelerated. It's hard to move fast and slow back to back because of the inconsistently

It just feels like mouse acceleration is on when its not.

Steps Taken (None of which resolved the issue):

  • Changed Windows Display Scaling to 100% (to rule out 1440p UI warping).
  • Capped the game's frame rate via NVIDIA Control Panel to match the monitor's native refresh rate (preventing unthrottled 500+ FPS input breakdown).
  • Adjusted hardware polling rates down to 500Hz, 250Hz, and 125Hz.
  • Unchecked "Enhance Pointer Precision" in both modern Windows Settings and legacy main.cpl.
  • Enabled Application High DPI override settings in compatibility properties.

    Welcome rat,

Thank you for providing such detailed testing information. Since you have already ruled out Windows mouse acceleration, DPI scaling, polling rate changes, frame-rate limiting, and DPI compatibility settings, I'd like to narrow this down a bit further.

Could you please confirm the following?

    • Does this behavior occur only in Minecraft Bedrock, or do you notice similar camera/input issues in other first-person games?
    • Are you using the standard Minecraft Bedrock client from the Microsoft Store, or are you enrolled in Preview/Beta versions?
    • Does the issue occur in a brand-new world with all resource packs, behavior packs, and add-ons disabled?
    • If you temporarily create a new local Windows user account and launch Minecraft there, does the mouse behavior remain the same?

As an initial test, please also try

Option 1: Resetting Minecraft's graphics settings to their defaults:

    • Open Minecraft.
    • Go to Settings > Video
    • Turn off Upscaling or any advanced graphics features that may be enabled.
    • Set “Render Distance” to a moderate value (for example, 12 chunks), then restart the game and test again.

Option 2: Reset Minecraft's local configuration:

    • Press Windows + R
    • Type %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
    • Rename the games folder to games.old
    • Launch Minecraft again and test before changing any settings.
