Is this a legitimate phone number for Microsoft support, (425) 219-8579? Just received a support assist from a Mike Williams and not sure it wasn't a scam.

Is (425) 219-8579 a legitimate Microsoft support number? If not, we were just scammed by someone claiming to be Mike Williams. ID # MSMike1115.

Please let me know so we can take corrective action, if necessary, for my husband's computer. He has been tricked before by a scammer trying to get remote access. My husband is elderly and can be misled by scammers. Please help me.

    Hi Jane,

    If you didn't initiate the call, then it's a scam.

    Microsoft will never call you. If you let them into

    your PC, then I would run a virus scan and then

    change your passwords.
