SLEEP does not work at all.

Think a recent update disabled that option.

Sleep in Windows is linked to the graphics drivers, the best first option would be to go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website to download and reinstall the version of Graphics drivers they provide.

    2

If that does not resolve the problem, open the Settings App.

Go to Windows Update - Update History.

What is the KB number of the most recent updates installed on your system.

Try these supported checks and fixes for missing or broken Sleep on Windows:

    1. Check whether hibernation is disabled. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run:
         powercfg -h on

This can restore hibernation and hybrid sleep support when the hibernation file was disabled.
    2. Verify which sleep states are available. In the same elevated Command Prompt, run:
         powercfg /a

This shows which sleep states Windows currently supports.
    3. Make sure Hibernate is enabled in Power Options. Go to: Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable Then, under Shutdown settings, enable Hibernate and save changes.
    4. If the issue started right after an update on a preview build, install the available Windows Update for the known sleep/resume issue. A documented case exists where systems using the StorAHCI driver on non-hybrid SATA disks could not resume from sleep until an update was installed.
    5. If Sleep is still missing, collect system details. One documented troubleshooting path is to run msinfo32 from Run and review the System Summary. Another is to post the output of powercfg /a for the available sleep states.

Important: if hibernation was disabled, sleep-related features may not save open work correctly during power loss until hibernation is re-enabled.
