How do I bring up the day's Spotlight photo? I am interested in what the subject is and if I can see it after logging in.

    Hi Joe Thomas

You can bring the Spotlight photo back by pressing Windows key + L, which locks the PC and returns you to the lock screen. Select the Like button on the lock screen to see more information about the image. Windows may ask you to sign in before opening the details.

If you also want Spotlight pictures on the desktop after signing in, open Settings > Personalization > Background, then choose Windows spotlight. You can select or hover over Learn about this picture on the desktop to identify the displayed image. Please note that the desktop image may not always be the same one currently shown on the lock screen.

Thank you for the question and I hope you have a nice day

To see the current Spotlight image details after signing in, use Desktop spotlight:

    1. Press the Windows key.
    2. Type background image settings and press Enter.
    3. Press Tab until Personalize your background is selected.
    4. Choose Windows spotlight.

When Desktop spotlight is enabled, Windows shows a new background image every day and includes informative captions about the image or its location.

If the goal is to identify the subject of the Bing daily image, on the Bing homepage:

    • Hover over the image headline in the lower-right corner for basic information.
    • Click the headline or caption info for more detailed information.
    • Move the mouse under the search box to reveal the daily quiz, which includes more information about the subject.
    • Use the < or > controls next to the image headline to view the last seven days of images.
