If the goal is to stop the OneDrive sign-in popup and not use OneDrive, the simplest fix is to unlink or uninstall it.
Stop OneDrive from this PC
- Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area.
- Select Help & Settings > Settings.
- Open the Account tab.
- Select Unlink this PC > Unlink account.
This stops OneDrive from being connected on the computer, and files are still available by signing in to OneDrive on the web if needed.
If the popup still appears or OneDrive is not wanted at all, uninstall it
- Select Start.
- Type Programs and open Add or remove programs.
- Under Apps & features, find Microsoft OneDrive.
- Select Uninstall.
If only the icon and reminders need to be hidden instead of uninstalling:
- Unlink OneDrive first.
- Open File Explorer, right-click OneDrive, and select Properties.
- On the General tab, check Hidden.
- Select the OneDrive icon again and choose Quit OneDrive.
Note: Uninstalling or unlinking OneDrive does not remove files or data from OneDrive.
