Hi B AB,
Thank you for reaching out. If a single group conversation is appearing as two separate chats in Phone Link, this is often related to how Phone Link synchronizes group messaging threads between the phone and PC. Please try the following checks:
1, Update both apps
- Update Phone Link on your PC.
- Update the Link to Windows app and your messaging app on the phone.
2, Reconnect your device
- Remove the phone from Phone Link.
- Remove the PC from Link to Windows.
- Restart both devices and pair them again.
3, Repair Phone Link
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Phone Link > Advanced options.
- Select Repair. If needed, try Reset afterward.
4, Check messaging settings
- Ensure Phone Link has permission to access Messages, Contacts, and Notifications.
- If you use RCS/Chat features, temporarily disable them and test whether the group conversation remains in a single thread.
- If the group chat appears correctly on your phone but remains split only in Phone Link after these steps, it may be related to current limitations in how some group conversations are synchronized between devices.
