Hi,

I've searched the web for answers and tried changing [Personalization > Background] settings but it appears to be impossible to have one monitor on spotlight mode and have a custom picture background on the other monitor. This is a shame: I enjoy the spotlight photos, it's pleasant seeing new nat geo style vista and wildlife photos every day, but I also want to have a wallpaper too. As a 2 monitor windows user, it would be nice to have spotlight background on my right monitor and and a wallpaper photo of my choosing on my left monitor.

If there is any way to do this, please let me know. If not, please consider implementing the feature.

Thank you.

Hi there! My name is David. It’s a pleasure to help you today.

Regarding your question, unfortunately, in Windows 11 it is not possible to use Spotlight on one screen and set a custom background image on another, because the Spotlight setting applies to all screens.

Currently, Windows does not support having Windows Spotlight on one monitor while using a custom wallpaper on another monitor simultaneously. Windows Spotlight is designed to provide a dynamic background experience, but it applies to the entire desktop environment rather than individual monitors.

If you want to have a specific wallpaper on one monitor and Windows Spotlight on another, you would need to set both monitors to the same background setting, either both to Spotlight or both to a custom wallpaper.

For now, you may consider providing feedback to Microsoft about this feature request, as user feedback can influence future updates and enhancements to Windows features.
