Hello @Jacey,
Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum!
For your situation, to better understand the issue and also test it properly in my own environment, could you please help me with the following information:
- I noticed you tagged your post as iOS. Could you confirm which device you are using when the issue occurs, iPhone or iPad?
- Have you also tested recording on the PowerPoint desktop app (laptop or PC)?
- Could you share a screenshot of the recording screen where the two cameos appear?
- I also noticed that you tagged your question with “education”. May I confirm whether you are using a school/university account (ending with .edu)?
However, I understand that your recording is important for your studies. If you need an urgent workaround, I found a video tutorial that may help: How to Record PowerPoint Presentation as Video with Face on iPad (tutorial)
You can try using Canva, a third‑party tool that supports recording with your camera. You upload your PowerPoint file directly into Canva and present/record from within the app.

I will wait for the screenshot and responding from you so that I can research the issue further and test in my environment.
Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to identify the root cause and find a solution.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
