    Hi Cuevas Ruiz, Ferran ESPANA-DRL/E/19B,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for contacting us, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with OneNote synchronization across your devices.

Based on your description, I'd like to provide the following information:

Error E0000057 usually occurs due to one or more of the following reasons: a corrupted file or section in the Notebook, conflicting edits made simultaneously across multiple devices, damaged cache or credentials, or connectivity issues with OneDrive/SharePoint services that interrupt the sync process.

Here are my recommendations that you may find helpful:

Before you begin, please make sure your OneNote is updated to the latest version on all devices.

    1/ Refresh login credentials

    • Windows:
      • Sign out via File > Account > Sign Out
      • Remove OneNote/OneDrive entries in Control Panel > Credential Manager
    • iOS:
      • Go to Settings > OneNote, enable Reset OneNote on Next Launch, or sign out/in manually
→ Ensure all devices use the same Microsoft account

    2/ Clear OneNote cache (Windows)

    • Close OneNote
    • Open Run (Win+R) and enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0\cache
    • Delete all files in the cache folder
    • Reopen OneNote and sign in

3/ Move pages to a new section

    • Create a new section (e.g., “Temp Section”)
    • Move pages from the problematic section to the new one
    • Force sync:
    • Windows: Press Shift+F9
    • iOS: Pull down the section list to refresh
→ If the new section syncs, you can delete or keep the old section as backup

4/ Empty the Notebook recycle bin

    • Windows: History > Notebook Recycle Bin > Empty Recycle Bin
    • Web: Go to Deleted Notes and permanently delete items

After completing this step, try making an edit to see if OneNote is syncing again.

    5/ Create a new notebook

    • Create a new notebook in OneNote or OneNote Online
    • Move sections from the old notebook to the new one

    6/ Reinstall OneNote (if needed)

    • Windows:
      • For Office version: Run Online Repair
      • For Store version: Uninstall and reinstall from Microsoft Store
    • iOS: Delete and reinstall from App Store

    7/ Contact Microsoft Support

If the issue persists even after these steps, it may stem from a deeper system-level cause. In this case, I recommend contacting your company's IT administrator, who can submit a support request to Microsoft through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. They’ll be able to access system-level information to investigate the issue thoroughly and provide assistance. At the very least, they can offer the most effective workaround to ensure your experience remains smooth and secure.

I hope the information provided proves useful. Please proceed with the outlined steps and let me know whether they resolve the issue. If not, I’ll be glad to continue working with you to find a solution.
