Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Dear @Robb, Lisa,
Good day! Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Based on your description:
In a Microsoft Teams meeting with up to 1,000 participants, only the first 300 attendees can actively participate in polls. This is a current limitation of the polling feature in Teams
Here’s how it works:
- Up to 1,000 people can join a standard Teams meeting and interact via chat, audio, and video.
- However, poll participation is capped at 300 attendees. Beyond that, attendees can still view the poll but won’t be able to submit responses.
If your meeting is expected to exceed 300 participants and you want broader engagement, consider these alternatives:
- Segment your audience into smaller breakout meetings or webinars.
- Use Microsoft Forms outside the meeting and share the link in chat or email for broader participation.
- Consider Teams Town Halls for very large audiences (up to 10,000 or 20,000 with Teams Premium), though interaction options are more limited.
